Tideforge Dominion
★★★★★ 4.5
Tideforge Dominion scratches the city-builder itch without overwhelming you. You settle a stretch of coastline, lay out districts, and keep trade ships moving while storms threaten your harbors. The balancing act between growth and defense is the whole game, and it clicks nicely once you learn the rhythm.
Weather is the clever twist. Seasons shift supply demands, and a bad storm can wreck an unprotected dock, so you're always planning a season ahead. Menus are tidy and the map pinches and zooms smoothly.
It runs in real time but respects pauses, so I could step away and come back without disaster. For a strategy game on a touchscreen, it reads well and never buried me in nested submenus.
